Student Enquiries Officer

• Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 2 years
• Based in Burnie, Cradle Coast Campus
• Provide assistance to our student community face to face, on-line and via phone.

We are seeking to appoint a Student Enquiry Officer in the UConnect Service Centre in the Student Life and Enrichment portfolio which is part of the Academic Division.

The Opportunity

As a Student Enquiries Officer, you will play a critical role as the first contact enquiry resolution for first tier enquiries and for triaging second tier enquiries via various platforms. This is a full-time opportunity, with restricted leave opportunity for identified peak periods.

Key Accountabilities:

• Respond to of student enquiries in a student-centred, solution focused and efficient manner through in-person, phone and web-based modes of service delivery.
• Ensure that students are provided with accurate first contact resolution or seamless and appropriate triage to Tier 2 services, including appropriate turnaround time.
• Actively contribute to a culture of productivity enhancement by identifying opportunities for process improvement and simplification.
• Work collaboratively to ensure consistent high level of service whilst working within tight timeframes.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

• Diploma in relevant discipline and demonstrated service centre experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, the ability to contribute to a positive customer focused culture and remain calm.
• Experience in customer service delivery and solution focused attitudes with discretion and initiative.
• Ability to provide feedback on trends, system efficiencies and communication platform effectiveness.
• Ability to work flexibly in response to changing work, to meet deadlines and to deliver high quality outcomes.

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $80,122 comprising base salary within the range of $64,643 to $68,480 plus 17% superannuation.
