Manager Talent Acquisition
Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Talent and Transformation, this role leads a small team that delivers university-wide talent acquisition strategies, processes, and activities. This role is a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and the People and Wellbeing Leadership team. This role will initially focus on embedding the Talent Acquisition model and action plan, ensuring client centred and efficient processes and practices, and supporting a talented team of specialist Talent Acquisition Partners.
The Talent Acquisition team is a reasonably new team that blends full life-cycle recruitment using integrated and innovative talent strategies focussed on senior or hard-to-fill vacancies across both technical and non-technical disciplines. The team operates as critical and collaborative partners, establishing long-term trust with leaders at all levels, with cross-functionally across the University’s corporate services functions.

You bring specialist talent acquisition expertise, enthusiasm, and leadership skills, and a people-centered approach. Success is achieved through operating as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders in a constantly changing and dynamic environment. You bring optimism, resilience, and passion to learn about the University of Tasmania’s story and build our brand to attract talent.
You like to build processes and are obsessed with providing positive candidate and hiring manager experience. You share your insights on the talent market and emerging trends to continually improve our ways of working and support our internal talent management practices and initiatives. You enjoy operating in an autonomous role and leading and supporting a small team for success.

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 10 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $142,996 comprising of a base salary within the range of $120,412 – $122,219 plus 17% superannuation.
