University of Sussex Hiring for Lecturer in Finance Job at Brighton, England Full Time

• The Department of Accounting and Finance is looking to hire a full-time, permanent faculty members at the Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) level in the area of Finance. The successful applicant will have an exciting research agenda and a great potential for publication in top journals in Finance. A specialization in one of the following areas Financial Econometrics, Data Financial Analytics, Socially Responsible Finance, or FinTech, would be desirable.
• The Finance Group in our department has two existing research clusters. The Business Finance (BF) focuses on topics such as company finance in both public and private companies, venture capital, and capital structure. The Quantitative Finance (QF) focuses on derivatives, risk management and FinTech.
• The Department values ‘quality over quantity’ and the candidates must be able to demonstrate that their research has publication potential in top level journals. The FT50 list is considered a reliable indicator of top journals. The successful candidate will be an engaged academic who enjoys working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and shows enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.
• An experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, as well as a preparedness to teach specialist and core subjects, would be advantageous.
