To be responsible for leading the Early Years Curriculum.
To support staff with planning, observation, tracking child development and the
delivery of the Early Years Curriculum.
To ensure that staff are up to date with journals, observations, assessments and
planning and to support as needed.
To provide high quality childcare and education to children from birth to 12 years
Key Responsibilities
and Accountabilities:
To have an excellent understanding of children’s needs and development
To use a knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage to meet and deliver all
welfare and curriculum requirements
To provide a warm, friendly and supportive environment for children, parents and
staff
To contribute effectively to the ongoing development of the Childcare service
To ensure all required Ofsted, University and Service Policy, procedure and
practice are implemented
To play a full role in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of activities and
curriculum to meet children’s individual needs
To use knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and general child development,
monitoring, evaluation and planning methods.
To provide guidance to all childcare staff and support them in the delivery of the
early year’s curriculum.
To assist in catering activities as required
Special
Circumstances:
Out of hours meetings. Some weekend or evening work may be required.
Manual handling and Safeguarding are an integral part of this post.
Specific dress requirements.
Enhanced DBS check will be required
