The University of Strathclyde has an opportunity available for a Senior Finance Assistant within the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI). The Senior Finance Assistant supports the specialist function of finance within DHI’s Moray Growth Deal project – Rural Centre of Excellence – and will play an integral part in the financial management of the project. DHI is a national organisation, with locations in Glasgow and Forres. The base hub for this role will be the Moray College campus in Elgin although the postholder will work flexibly including working from home.

The successful applicant will thrive on variety, be educated to HNC/HND level in a finance related subject and possess relevant experience or a formal accounting qualification. They will have 2 or more years’ experience of working with financial processes and procedures preferably within large, complex organisations and be able to monitor analyse, manage and resolve a wide variety of complex financial matters. The postholder will work autonomously within a fast paced and constantly changing environment, using their excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. They will be an important part of the wider DHI team of approx. 30 staff members and be confident liaising with finance, procurement and contracting colleagues within the University and with other key stakeholders.
