The exciting role of Education Liaison Officer with a strong focus on PGT recruitment in the EU and across Europe has recently become available within the Admissions team. Working in a high energy environment with motivated and specialist colleagues who are focused on building long-term relationships to support student recruitment and admissions, the successful post holder will work independently and within the team to contribute to the achievement of the University’s targets for admissions
The post holder will focus on student recruitment and conversion of students from the European Union, EEA, Switzerland and other European countries where necessary, to full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at St Andrews. There will be a particular focus on PGT recruitment and admissions, as well as admissions decision making, and continuing to ensure that our decision making and recruitment are aligned and informed. This will involve helping coordinate on campus, in country and virtual engagement activities with prospective students, academic Schools, partner institutions and agents, etc. The post holder will work with the Regional Manager (Europe) and Deputy Director of Admissions (UK and Europe) and focus on conducting research and gathering data to help target recruitment and marketing activity as effectively as possible, working closely with relevant colleagues throughout the Admissions Unit to meet these objectives. There are opportunities to contribute to the development of existing key and emerging markets and to make recommendations for future activity. The post holder will also work closely with other areas of work in Admissions such as marketing.
This challenging post will attract applicants with a good Honours degree who also have experience of PGT recruitment in the EU and Home higher education sector either within marketing, student recruitment, admissions or study abroad/exchange activities. We do however also encourage applicants from other sectors to apply. The post-holder will be required to undertake overseas travel and must bring with them the proven ability to build relationships in a variety of geographic and cultural contexts.
This is an exciting but challenging time in higher education and therefore the successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator and organiser, and successful at working across business areas.
Before an appointment can be confirmed, you will be subject to a PVG check.
