As the Associate Head (Academic Transformation), you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of teaching excellence for USQ. You will do this by supporting the Head of School and Dean and other members of the School Executive in strategic and scholarly leadership and encouraging a positive, dynamic and inclusive work environment that empowers staff to realise their individual growth and the future potential of the School. As an integral member of the leadership team, you will build strong relationships between teaching and non-teaching staff and engage extensively both within the University community and external organisations and groups.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy testing your transformational leadership capabilities. You will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively in an environment that values diversity, inclusion and respect.

To succeed in this role, you will have strong academic standing across teaching, curriculum transformation and research that is commensurate with an Associate Professor level with academic credentials that include a PhD in a teacher education related discipline. You will also bring exceptional leadership and change management skills, strategic and innovative thinking and a proven capacity to successfully lead, manage, and administer within an academic organisation.

Appointment to the Associate Head (Academic Transformation) will be for a term of three years, with an underlying full-time continuing appointment at an Associate Professor (Curriculum and Pedagogy).

Salary: Total remuneration range of $171,016 to $188,052 pa (includes salary of $144,500 to $158,895 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
