University of Southampton Hiring for Student Systems Support Job at Southampton, England Full Time

We are looking for a Student Systems Support Administrator to join our busy and friendly Student Systems Team in Student and Academic Administration (SAA) to provide first line system support for Student Records system (Banner), the Curriculum Management Tool (Worktribe), the Placements system (InPlace) the PGR Manager tool.

You will enjoy problem solving and working within a busy and dynamic team, working to high standards and committed to achieving tight deadlines with high levels of customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

• proactively resolve problems, escalating to second- and third-line support as necessary
• document responses and resolutions to problems to help develop effective knowledge base
• use ServiceNow to log all incidents, requests, project tasks and problems
• provide project co-ordination and administration support for key Student System events
• plan and coordinate system change requests
• execute system test scripts for system improvements and upgrades
• work collaboratively with colleagues throughout SAA, iSolutions, Finance and Admissions
• attend meetings with suppliers

You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively. You will be well organised and adaptable and have confidence in managing a varied and fast-paced workload. Excellent communication, including the ability to communicate using technical and non-technical language is essential, as well as a natural ability to investigate and solve complex system related problems. Experience of working with Banner within the Higher Education sector would be advantageous. Full training will be provided.

This role is full time fixed term until 30/04/2023.
