Advertised Job Summary
The University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine Greenville is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Assessment Coordinator.
Reporting directly to the Director of Assessment and supporting the Academic Assessment Program Manager, the Assessment Coordinator provides direct support to faculty and staff who develop and deliver the medical education curriculum and associated assessment activities. This role serves as a central resource and support for assessment activities across all four years of the medical education curriculum, working across systems, offices and departments, and with school administration, to ensure a successful assessment program. Additionally, the Assessment Coordinator plays a large role in collecting, maintaining, analyzing and reporting on data regarding student and course performance and program effectiveness. This individual develops surveys, manages datasets and systems, generates numerous institutional reports, including end-of-module and mid-year and end-of year reports, and fulfills data request for both internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master’s degree and 1 year related program experience or a bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with university faculty/staff administration
Experience with assessment processes within higher education
Experience with collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of Administrative and business management principles, practices and procedures
Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to administrative/business activities of the organization. · Knowledge of UofSC SOMG fiscal policies, practices and procedures.
Knowledge of report analyses techniques.
Ability to plan, organize and direct assessment functions within the department.
Ability to formulate and implement administrative policies and procedures.
Demonstrates commitment to advancing the mission/vision/guiding principles of USCSOM Greenville/Prisma Health in setting priorities and conducting work.
