We have an exciting opportunity in the University Library for someone with a knowledge and understanding of HR and
recruitment work to join the Library’s Business Support section. The section manages the library’s departmental HR
activities and procedures, including staff recruitment, contract administration, induction of new staff and leavers
administration. The section is responsible for the maintenance, collation of staff data and producing reports to the Library
Executive on a regular basis.
The section manages the recruitment for the department, workloads are consistently high and you will proactively manage
and monitor each recruitment campaign, completing all necessary day to day actions (this will include using the University’s
e-recruitment system).
You will use your ability to provide and communicate detailed information and guidance to others, communicating with
Library Recruiting Managers and the University’s HR department throughout the process via email and telephone. You must
be able to demonstrate a solid attention to detail and accuracy and ensure decisions and actions taken are in line with
legislation and University policies.
We are seeking candidates with experience gained through previous work experience in a HR/recruitment environment
together with experience of responding efficiently and effectively to face-to-face, phone and email enquiries in a fast paced
administrative environment.
You should have a minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade C (level 4 to 5) and above including Maths and English, or equivalent
experience. Working towards CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice or willingness to embark on this qualification
would be an advantage,
