Job Description:

The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a part-time (3 days per week) Clinical Research Assistant for a one year contract, with the possibility of extension. The individual will be responsible for data collection and entry for a multitude of ongoing clinical research trials under the general direction of Scientists, Research Coordinators, and the Research Program Manager.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Data collection and data entry
• Screening, recruitment, enrolment, and follow-up of study participants
• Close communication with surgeons, principal investigators, and other members of the research team
• Research ethics board submissions
• Assistance with manuscript and abstract submissions
• Assistance with the grant submission process
• Liaising with various TOH departments, REB/contracts office, sponsors, and external collaborators.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a health related field
• 2 years of prior research experience.
• Superior communication skills
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience working in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of orthopaedics

Contract Details:

This is a 1 year part time position with the possibility of renewal.

Three days per week.
