About the Human Resources Division
We are at an interesting time for the Higher Education sector, there is significant change in terms of oversight, student expectations and changing demographics. We are trying to do things differently so that we stay ahead of these changes, enabling us to be sustainable into the future.

The HR team at the University of Salford is evolving and we need your help!
So what will the role involve?
Working within our HR Advice team, you will be the first port of call for colleagues who get in touch, providing world class customer service to all those you interact with. Supporting colleagues throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding all the way through to exit, you will thrive on answering a variety of employment related queries and enable our colleagues to navigate the HR processes required. A lot of the information you will work with will be confidential in nature so you will need to recognise the importance of accuracy in the work that you undertake.
You will need to be innovative, want to question and make decisions, but also recognise the importance of being part of a strong team – there are lots of opportunities to make improvements to our ways of working and you will be at the forefront of that innovation as we move forward.
The work is fast paced, often reactive, and can be frustrating. You will require a high level of resilience, but you will be working on a fantastic, rapidly changing campus, with people who are passionate about changing the lives of our students.
You do not need to have a background in HR – we can teach you that – we are looking for administrators who are used to working in fast paced environments, who enjoy the challenge of different and varied work, and who are prepared to question and help us improve what we do.

This opportunity is for a full time, permanent role. Applications will close on Sunday 15th May 2022 with interviews taking place on 25th May.
This role will include a mixture of working on-campus and home working. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account.
