Exciting Opportunity to Join the Financial Planning and Strategy Team

We are looking for internal candidates that are keen to progress their career in Finance, study will be considered for the successful candidate.

This role supports the Financial Planning and Strategy team in delivery of relevant and accurate financial information. The post holder will liaise with University colleagues, using their specialist knowledge and experience to respond to enquiries and solve problems.

Key Duties include but are not limited to

• Create and check entries into the general ledger, ensuring appropriate coding and correct authorisation.
• Check financial transactions for accuracy and correct as necessary.
• Review and authorise financial transactions submitted from Schools and Functions, including School Transactions Clerks. Request corrections where appropriate.
• Accurately calculate accounting adjustments, including accruals and pre-payments,
• Proactively raise any issues, offering potential solutions where possible.
• Reconcile control accounts at each period end.
• Issue inter-company and external sales invoices.
• Raise purchase orders.
• Produce and distribute standard month-end reports for Schools and Functions.
• Track expenses on specific projects, and provide transaction reports as requested by Schools and Functions.
