Applications are invited for a Trainee Finance Manager to join the NDM Finance Team, reporting into the NDM Head of Finance.
As Trainee Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the accuracy of monthly management accounts for the NDM strategic and Operations units. You will assist with the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, and support the Head of Finance to provide reports and analysis across all NDM units with a focus on SRFs and Trust Funds. You will also play a central role in ensuring strong financial controls are maintained across the department. Additionally this a development role for which we will support further professional qualification.
You will be AAT qualified, or hold a similar level accounting qualification, and have a willingness to learn and develop professionally. You will have a good understanding of accounts and forecasts, as well as experience using computerised financial systems. You will have a high level of numeracy and IT literacy, particularly in the use of spreadsheets and accounting. You will also have strong analytical skills and the ability to produce a consistently high standard of work that shows attention to details. It is essential that you have effective written and oral communication skills to interact with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
The position is funded by the Department and is a 36 month fixed-term contract in the first instance.
