We have an exciting opportunity to join the IT Services Department as an IT/AV Support Officer, in the team supporting the University software for lecture capture, whilst we support a flexible approach to meet the needs of the University, we anticipate that you will be mainly on-site during term time.
IT Services is a key department that ensures that the University has robust, reliable and high-performing IT facilities it requires to support the needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and administration. About the Role
You will work as part of the team that delivers AV support to departments across the University in the consultancy and advice on software including AV and IT hardware such as microphones, cameras and visualisers. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our Academics with the Lecture Capture Service that enables quick and easy recording of a lecture allowing viewers to replay the session later in their own time. You will also play a role in monitoring the effectiveness of the service and recommending improvements.
About You
You will have completed a BTEC or equivalent in media and/or experience in the use and troubleshooting of AV equipment. You will have excellent communication skills, and be confident in the ability to communicate at all levels with courtesy and politeness along with, the ability to produce written documentation and convey complex information in simple, easy-to-understand language. You will have a positive attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work, and be comfortable when priorities suddenly need to change.
