University of Nottingham Hiring for HR Support Apprentice (Fixed term) at Nottingham Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Support Apprentices to join our HR team on a fixed term contract until the middle of September 2023. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have great attention to detail, are organised, passionate and have an interest in working with people.

In this role, you will have a fantastic platform on which to develop or build your HR knowledge in addition to the transferable skills you will gain through hands on work experience. You will also study towards a Level 3 CIPD qualification, which is a worldwide recognised HR qualification and the foundation to most long-term HR careers. This role would suit someone with a passionate interest in HR and looking to commit towards a career within this field.

During your apprenticeship you will be working within the Employment Services Team, which will expose you to general HR administrative tasks supporting the Employment Relations team and the HR Business Partners team. You will provide first line support and guidance to a broad range of service users via email, telephone, and digital face to face meetings.

Upon successful completion of this training, you will be able to apply for Associate Membership (Assoc CIPD) of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the professional body for the HR sector. This forms the foundation of a career within this profession, giving a base for further development and a career path.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their IT skills, a willingness to learn, a good communicator, and with a calm approach to working in this busy environment. You will also have (or be predicted to achieve) five GCSEs (or equivalent) including mathematics and English at Grades A-C/9-4.

Working hours are 36.25 per week, Monday to Friday inclusive, with 20% off-the-job training to complete your studies.

Subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship and satisfactory performance, this opportunity will possibly lead to permanent employment as a HR Assistant (level 2) in the Employment Services Team.
