University of Nottingham Hiring for Education and Student Experience Manager Job at Nottingham, England Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Education and Student Experience manager to join our successful teaching and learning support team in the School of Life Sciences.

As Education and Student Experience Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of teaching, learning and student experience administration and new initiatives in the School of Life Sciences as well as the organisation of the School’s recruitment, outreach and widening participation activities. You will:

• Lead and develop the School’s peer mentoring scheme, training and supporting student mentors to provide support with academic matters
• Oversee and manage teaching and learning processes and administration, relating to a wide range of areas associated with the student journey including timetabling, curriculum, module choice, student recruitment events, induction and graduation activities
• Coordinate the effective implementation of action plans relating to the National Student Survey and other surveys and student focus groups.
• Organise the School’s outreach and widening participation activities and support the School’s initiatives to meet Access and Participation Plan targets
• Develop initiatives to enhance and support the sense of student community in the School

You will need excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, as well as previous small group teaching experience within higher education. You will be able to work effectively and supportively as part of a team. You will be highly organised, innovative and able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced and varied environment. As someone who is proactive and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, you will drive forward enhancements and new initiatives to deliver excellent service for staff and students.
