This role is part of a team of Talent Acquisition professionals that deliver expert advice and support to stakeholders across the University for all fixed term and permanent recruitment needs, recruiting for academic, professional and teacher roles.

Part of a high performing and well-regarded team, sitting within the Human Resource Services (HRS) unit, this role works closely with the key members of the hiring community across a range of client groups, as well as other HRS teams, to recruit the talent essential for the delivery of our Looking Ahead 2020-2025 strategy.

Whilst exposure to recruitment within Higher Education would potentially be advantageous, this is not essential – we have successfully supported the transition of recruiters into our team whose experience has been acquired in large, complex environments outside of the sector.

2023 will be an exciting time at the University and presents a number of opportunities in talent acquisition. As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, this opportunity will give you the platform to:

• work closely with members of the University hiring community, up to and including Executive level, on a range of academic and specialist roles;
• demonstrate your ability to act as a trusted advisor in a complex environment, using data to influence decisions;
• be part of a team responsible for the implementation and embedding of online referencing;
• acquire hands-on experience of LiveHire, a contemporary ATS and talent pooling platform;
• gain first-hand exposure to our new online onboarding tool;
• raise the capability of your hiring community; and
• play a key role in uplifting sourcing capability.

The remuneration package (including base salary and superannuation) for this position is from $106,773 per annum.

This includes an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17%. Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, covering for a period of maternity leave.

The primary place of work will be our Callaghan campus. The University has a Flexible Work Policy, seeking to balance the needs of the institution, team cohesion and performance, and individual success and wellbeing.
