University of Newcastle Hiring for Administrative Assistant Job at Newcastle Full Time

• Full-time continuing position in the School of Engineering
• Higher Education Worker Level 4
• Based at Callaghan

This position works as part of a supportive and collaborative team providing administrative support services across the various disciplines in the School of Engineering as well as providing back up support to the Head of School. Ultimately you will play an integral part in the effective functioning of the school.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Responding to enquiries and requests from staff, students and member of the public
• Assist with the administration of teaching including the generation of course outlines, provision of class lists and casual room bookings.
• Liaise with Exams and course coordinators to manage the end of term exam submission process

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

About the Unit

The School of Engineering in one of the most research-intensive Schools within the University. The School consists of four discipline groupings: Civil and Environmental Engineering and Surveying; Chemical and Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical, Computer Systems, Aerospace Systems, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. The school is a Priority research centre and the ARC Centre of Excellence in Enabling Eco-efficient Beneficiation of Minerals. It has strong links with industry through sponsored undergraduate students and research collaborations.

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $65591 – $71298 FTE +17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
