The Opportunity

You will play a key role as a member of the Education Team within the Faculty of Engineering by supporting the delivery of creative, innovative, technical, and accessible educational offerings. This is a highly collaborative role where you will develop strong lasting working relationships with key academic and professional stakeholders across the faculty to identify, interpret, design, improve and implement innovative teaching strategies for undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.

• Salary, Level 8: $109,944 to $123,876 per annum + 17% superannuation
• Full time
• Fixed term – until December 2021
• Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia

Skills and Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing systems or programs requiring integration of theoretical or technical knowledge in a complex, specialised environment.
• Experience using LMSs and e-authoring tools for implementing learning tasks and assessments.
• Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
• Sound understanding of learning design principles, practices, assessment development, resource development and production, as well as current and future trends in digital learning.
• Demonstrated capacity to advise and support staff on the design of student-centred assessment and its implementation.
• Demonstrated capacity to supervise and manage staff as required.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work as part of a diverse team and liaise and negotiate with a range of people to achieve agreed outcomes and reconcile different views.
• An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
• Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
