The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
The Family and Community Partnerships Division of the CDD is seeking an Education & Outreach Manager to oversee and manage a large multifaceted program known as Partners for Employment. The selected candidate will oversee multiple scopes of work and supervise personnel, including two Program Managers, who provide statewide training and technical assistance in best practices for supported employment and school-to-work transition for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Education & Outreach Manager will oversee multiple contracts and serve as the principal point of representation and liaison with individuals, businesses, organizations and state agencies.
This position is responsible for the oversight of annual contract deliverables, including developing and facilitating on-line and in-person trainings, hosting statewide meetings and providing technical assistance on the topics of supported employment and school-to-work best practices for individuals with I/DD. The Education and Outreach Manager will need to possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse communities. The individual who is hired for this position will need to have the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities and meet monthly reporting deadlines. Project management, organization and coordination skills are strongly desired. This position requires regular statewide travel.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
