About the Area*

Student Progression manages the administrative side of a student’s journey commencing at Admission and all the way through to Graduation. The work requires monitoring student progression, ensuring compliance with Higher Education legislation and University policy, and advice on individual student’s course rules.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced worker in student administration or an enthusiastic applicant familiarity with the tertiary sector and record management.

About the role*

This role reports to the Student Progression Advisor and entails rapid and accurate responses to student questions. You will work as part of a small but dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcome for students, while maintaining the level of service and integrity expected from the University of New England.

About you*

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Good written and verbal communications skills and ability to tailor your responses to clients from a mix of cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Attention to detail, computer and time management skills.
• A genuine desire to help students complete their academic journey.
• The ability to work with complex rules and polices and communicate these clearly.
• The temperament to work both directly supervised and more independently under general directions.
