  • $ 70,398 to $ 81,178, part time pro rata, per annum (HEO5)
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation. Salary packaging options are available.

Finance, Strategy and Business Intelligence

Finance, Strategy and Business Intelligence (FSBI) consists of three main areas: Financial Services, Procurement and Business Intelligence. The division’s vision is for UNE to have an integrated and effective planning, finance and performance management framework that supports the decentralised management of resources, where UNE has the data and analysis needed to achieve excellence. FSBI is recognised for its financial transparency and consistently meets its statutory (and contractual obligations) in relation to financial management probity. FSBI contributes to the strong financial performance of the University, ensuring UNE’s finances are sustainable and support the broader vision for UNE to improve the lives of the communities it serves.


About the role

The Student Accounts Officer is responsible for the collection of student fees and the management of the University’s student invoicing system in respect of tuition and HECS fees within the Student Information System as well as providing high quality advice, data support and high quality customer service outcomes to students and the University. The Student Accounts Officer is responsible for ensuring all aspects of student fee assessment and invoicing are in compliance with UNE and regulatory requirements; maintaining and reconciling the Student Information System to UNE’s Finance applications; and liaising with other central administration services across the University in respect to statutory changes relating to all aspects of student billing.


Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have demonstrated high-level proficiency in financial and accounting processes, and ability to interpret and apply complex rules, procedures, policies and legislation with a large organisational structure.

They will also have demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, the ability to work as part of a team and also work independently.
