University of Nebraska Hiring for Regional Recruitment Specialist – Los Angeles/Southern California at Lincoln, NE Full Time

This Regional Recruitment Specialist is physically based in Los Angeles/Southern California and works from a home office to present the benefits of UNL to prospective students and their families within the assigned territory. The Regional Recruitment Specialist returns to the Lincoln Campus office 2-3 times per year for additional training and special events. Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and assessing UNL’s strategic outreach efforts in assigned territory. This position will represent UNL at high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and other external events. Responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times. Anticipated May 2022 graduates accepted.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus one year of marketing, sales, recruitment or related experience required. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Public speaking experience necessary. Ability to work independently essential. Must have willingness to move to assigned territory. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures required. Experience with Microsoft Office software necessary.

All applicants must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide in Admissions, Housing, Orientation leader, or an academic college preferred. Experience with extensive travel helpful. Extensive campus involvement as an undergraduate. Enthusiasm for representing UNL to the public desirable.

Posted Salary

$62,500/yr minimum
