About The Role

This Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator in the field of public health. As a vital role within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health (MSPGH), you will play a crucial part in the success of our highly regarded graduate coursework programs, particularly the Melbourne Master of Public Health (MPH). As a teaching specialist, you will lead key subjects such as Foundations of Public Health and Public Health in Practice, while also having the chance to contribute to other relevant subjects based on your expertise. Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to expand your research portfolio in educational research and evaluation, further enhancing the quality, innovation, and student experience within the program. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate core, elective, and capstone subjects, managing budgets and recruiting teaching associates.
• Ensure high standards in assessment, student feedback, and academic integrity.
• Engage in research, evaluation, and publication to advance teaching and learning.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer, research training, and leadership within the field of public health.

Who We Are Looking For

You possess strong engagement skills and established relationships in the public health sector, demonstrating initiative, innovation, and well-developed interpersonal abilities. You excel in both independent and team environments, effectively organising tasks and handling confidential information with the utmost professionalism.

You will also have:

• PhD or Master of Public Health (or equivalent) with relevant experience in public health practice and higher education.
• Proficiency in preparing and delivering teaching materials online and face-to-face, and administering academic supervision in public health education.
• Strong academic research skills and a track record in education or a public health-related discipline.
• Experience in public health, health sector, and/or relevant policy, with established engagement and relationships in the field.
