About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic individual to become the Engagement and Content Officer (ECO) at the Melbourne Dental School. As the ECO, you will have the opportunity to generate highly engaging content, employing storytelling techniques to bring the school and its student experience to life. You will work closely with a dynamic team, collaborating with various stakeholders and utilising multiple platforms to showcase the school’s research and teaching endeavours.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement an engagement and communications strategy aligned with the School’s strategic plan.
- Plan and execute School events, including targeted publicity and administration.
- Manage internal communications and promote School successes, initiatives, and media opportunities.
- Coordinate digital presence, including website maintenance, social media strategy, and online newsletter production.
Who We Are Looking For
You are a highly organised individual with excellent project management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment and delivering on multiple projects with tight deadlines. You have a track record of successfully planning and coordinating events, building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, and upholding professionalism and confidentiality with high ethical standards.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience with producing content for various campaign creative assets and content for publications.
- Experience in designing for both digital and print including knowledge of Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), working within brand architecture and style guidelines, as well as working with designers and printing professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain web pages and of website design and maintenance using a content management system, desktop publishing and database software, and an understanding of social media trends and frameworks.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
