The opportunity:

The University of Manitoba is looking for an Office Assistant. This position will be responsible for filing, scanning and indexing files, entering invoices, and ensuring claim forms are completed. The Office Assistant will also be responsible for mailing out cheques, sorting and delivering mail within Supplier Payment Services.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

• Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline is required.
• One year of directly related experience required.
• A minimum of two years directly related experience working in an accounting office environment is preferred.
• An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Must be proficient in the use of general office equipment.
• Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other software’s.
• Must have the ability to process large numbers of documents with speed, accuracy and attention to detail in order to meet strict deadlines.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Must have the ability to manage heavy workloads and meet deadlines.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
