University of Leicester Hiring for Student and Education EDI Officer Job at Leicester, England Full Time

The role involves working closely with the teams within Education Services to help review our management of student equality, diversity and inclusion. This includes the development, delivery and monitoring of our student EDI projects and the Access and Participation Plan (APP), applying your knowledge and experience of University and wider EDI policies and practice.

You will influence the direction we take in working with students to help them transition into university and succeed during their time with us. You will strengthen your communication skills as you collaborate with the sub-teams of Education Services, utilise your organisational skills as you contribute to multiple projects, and offer insight and suggestions for encouraging and maintaining student engagement.

As an ideal candidate for this role, you should be degree-educated or have experience within a higher education setting. Relevant work experience should include the ability to draft high quality documents and report, as well as team working. You should have an understanding and strong commitment to equality, and an awareness of diverse community issues and their application to the student experience.

You will need to use effective verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to relate to people at all levels. Good organisational skills will also be key, with the ability to handle competing priorities and manage a varied workload.
