We are seeking to appoint a transformative leader to provide strategic direction to the University’s education and student-facing services, with the key objective of developing a holistic and inclusive student experience, which is seamless, accessible and supports students from all walks of life. Our students are at the heart of our University and this is a key portfolio of responsibility which includes registry services, education services, student support services, careers services and sports & active life, with particular accountability for the University’s student academic and quality regulations which underpin our research-inspired education strategy, including our mental health framework and operational approaches.
About you
**
The successful applicant will have leadership and management experience from a relevant area of professional services, and we are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge and understanding of educational programme design, delivery and regulation and a proven track record of working strategically in partnership with academic schools.
You will have experience of driving change and improvement across complex organizational boundaries. A persuasive communicator with the ability to influence at all levels, you will be passionate about building high performing teams, and possess a proven track record of delivering service excellence. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading research-intensive University with the most diverse student population outside London. The Academic Registrar will report to the Registrar & Secretary and be a member of the University Senior Leadership Team.
