Director of Student Education

Are you passionate about teaching and supporting the student experience? This role gives an opportunity for you to excel in design and delivery of the programmes in the School of Geography.

Working with the Pro-Dean for Student Education, the Head of School and other key School leaders, you will play a major strategic and coordinating role in developing, promoting and delivering the School’s learning and teaching strategy and objectives, overseeing the development and quality enhancement of the School’s portfolio of programmes, supporting the School’s recruitment and educational engagement strategies, promoting an inclusive approach to student education and enhancing the student academic experience.

You will collaborate with the School’s Student Education Service, Assessment Lead, Academic Integrity Officer, Admissions Lead and other key roles within the School to ensure the effective delivery of the School’s taught education. The School’s Programme will report to you in relation to the management of programmes.

The appointment will be at 0.6 FTE for a period of 3 years in the first instance. The DSE will be accountable to the Head of School and is expected to work in accordance with the University’s policies, procedures and values, promoting academic excellence through integrity, inclusiveness, professionalism and community.
