Can you work with subject matter experts to oversee the design and development of innovative learning opportunities? Do you have proven experience of managing a team to produce quality blended learning courses based on sound pedagogical principles?
We are seeking an experienced manager with strong team management and interpersonal skills to work on high profile course development projects. This is a senior role and will involve supporting the Heads of Blended Learning Support and Online Learning with all aspects of the operational and line management of a busy and dynamic team. All learning development will be in line with the vision and ethos of the University and the University’s Online Learning and Blended Learning strategies.
You will have proven experience of working within an educational environment, managing the production of quality learning resources and programmes of learning based on sound pedagogical principles. You will have experience of taking responsibility for learning development teams tasked with the professional and timely delivery of multiple, concurrent production and creative projects. Your experience will be within blended learning, online professional education, or fully online higher education. You will lead the day-to-day activity of teams of course designers and you will work closely with the other members of the senior management team.
You will work with the Heads of Blended Learning Support and Online Learning to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and oversee the scoping, design, production and publication of innovative learning resources, courses, modules and programmes on external platforms, such as FutureLearn, Coursera and the University’s Blackboard internal external virtual learning environment (Minerva and Athena).
This exciting role will suit a dynamic individual with proven experience in course design, quality assurance and accompanied by excellent communication and organisational skills.
