We’ve not long restructured HR&OD at Kent and as we continue to embed our new structure, streamline our processes and re-imagine the way we deliver HR, this role provides an excellent opportunity for a proactive and creative individual to join our central team. Working closely with both our central and devolved HR teams you’ll develop and support consistent recruitment practices, bringing new ideas and innovation to our approach to recruitment, and provide mentoring and coaching to HR colleagues.
You’ll have a key role to play in ensuring our recruitment system is fully utilised and developed, using your knowledge to develop clear guidance for use by our devolved HR teams. You’ll also understand the importance of recruitment data and trends; making best use of available data to develop a suite of management information tools to support timely and effective resourcing decisions.
You’ll be responsible for managing our temp bank; from screening potential applicants, through candidate management and to assignment placement, you’ll liaise with relevant HR teams and recruiting managers to understand their resourcing requirements, and use your knowledge of registered applicants to provide a fast and effective temporary staffing service.
You’ll also have responsibility for developing supplier relationships with external recruitment agencies, leading to the creation of an efficient and cost effective preferred supplier list.
As well as being the subject matter expert for recruitment and selection, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop your wider HR skills and experience by working as part of the Policy & Projects team; helping deliver a number of projects to support our people practices.
With experience of attracting, selecting and appointing staff across all levels of a large organisation, along with significant experience of best practice in recruitment and selection techniques, you’ll be looking for an opportunity to help review and reshape practices to provide the best possible recruitment service.
In return, you can expect from us:–
A friendly, open and collaborative working environment
Support with your professional development
Very generous annual leave
Supportive home/hybrid working options
A fantastic and beautiful campus, including many sport and recreational facilities available to staff members
Great staff benefits
Great pension scheme.
