Position Summary:
The Distance Education Business Instructor will work within the College of Business and Economics Distance Education program and will report directly to the Distance Education Program Director. The teaching load for instructors in the college is the equivalent of seven 3-credit sections per academic year, with up to four different preparations. Instructors are responsible for outcomes, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment, and provide syllabi to the department head each semester. The Distance Education Business Instructor is also assigned student advisees who are enrolled in the colleges online Bachelors of Business Administration program, and occasionally participates in outreach and other activities.

The incumbent will serve as a champion for the University of Idaho and higher education, advocate for the College of Business and Economics Purpose, Mission, and Value Statements, and help foster positive changes within the department.

This position is on academic year contract with continuing appointment contingent on funding and/or work to support the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in business or affiliated field
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in online course instruction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching online business courses
• Knowledge of and ability to instruct within specific business disciplines
