University of Hull Hiring for Lecturer in Education Studies Job at Kingston upon Hull, England Full Time

Due to very significant growth in student numbers on the MA Education, the School of Education is seeking to appoint 4.0 FTE Lecturers (Band 8) to further strengthen its capacity in teaching and scholarship. The School has a diverse range of provision with specialisms including Early Childhood, Youth and Community Work, TESOL and Special Educational Needs and Inclusion in addition to programmes of Initial Teacher Education. It has strong partnerships with schools, settings, charities and not-for-profit organisations across the region and beyond. The persons appointed will contribute to the Education Studies portfolio, including the MA Education and will have a clear philosophy of the value education and its contribution to social justice and sustainable development

The School of Education is one of the largest academic units in the Faculty of Arts, Cultures and Education, comprising the disciplinary areas of Initial Teacher Education and Education Studies. It has a range of programmes across FdEd, undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research programmes. The School has launched an ambitious research strategy rooted in the newly-established Centre for Educational Participation and Research (CEPaR).

The Faculty is committed to supporting practitioners in building an academic career. The successful candidate will be expected to engage with this aspect of professional development by undertaking scholarly activities that contribute to the School of Education research strategy.
