Huddersfield Business School at the University of Huddersfield is seeking to appoint a Reader in Accounting and Finance in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics to strengthen its existing research, teaching and enterprise activities. The successful candidate’s research, teaching and leadership will contribute to the further development of the Department.

You will have a national and international research profile, and an excellent record of publications combined with demonstrable impact. Your research interests should complement and enhance those in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics and inter-disciplinary research in the School. A track record of attracting research funding is also essential. You will be expected to contribute to teaching and supervision in Accounting and Finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to provide academic leadership within the Department and/or School.

The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics is home to a team of over 30 academics who contribute to the three Research Centres in the School. The research published in the Department has an international reach, with members of the Department publishing work in financial accounting, corporate governance, corporate finance, banking, corporate reporting, economics and econometrics. The work of many in the team cuts across disciplines and hence we welcome interest from candidates with interdisciplinary mind-sets to contribute to existing areas of research.
