University of Huddersfield Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Huddersfield, England Full Time

Permanent, 37 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to work in the School of Applied Sciences within the Finance & Research office, dealing with all aspects of University financial administration. This post will provide a key role in providing a professional service to deliver full administrative support to staff and students.

Initiative, excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload are essential, as well as the ability to work at a high-level of accuracy with attention to detail.

Substantial experience of working in a busy office environment, good customer service skills, fully conversant with Microsoft Office applications and an ECDL qualification or equivalent is vital.

Experience of working in a financial environment with financial management systems is essential along with knowledge of budgets & management accounting.

You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, as well as being able to work as part of a team and deliver on deadlines effectively.

Demonstrable experience of working in a higher education environment in a finance role would also be desirable.

If you are currently registered as a student at the University, please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
