Houston Guided Pathways to Success (GPS) is an integrated system of
strategies designed to increase degree completion and create
efficient transfer pathways while improving educational quality for
Houston area students. The Executive Director, Student Success
Strategies is responsible for managing operations related to
collaboration, sustainability mechanisms, and fundraising. This job
reports directly to the Sr Vice Provost and Dean, Undergraduate
Student Success.

1. Develops and implements operational plans to support the goals
   and objectives of Houston GPS.
2. Collaborates with Houston GPS institutions to ensure the
   effective implementation of GPS strategies.
3. Assesses implementation progress and tracks overall and
   institutional outcomes.
4. Assists with planning and delivering Houston GPS meetings and
   events.
5. Attends and participates in relevant local, state, and national
   meetings/conferences.
6. Oversees mechanisms to ensure Houston GPS sustainability
   including ongoing training through content experts.
7. Interfaces with communication representatives to provide
   information and support as needed.
8. Engages in fundraising and grant oversight as needed.
9. Acts as university representative to internal and external
   constituents.
10. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Master’s and 5 years of experience.

Education: Requires application of advanced principles, techniques
and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general
business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically
obtained through a master’s degree or equivalent formal training in
a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to
the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of
five (5) years of directly job-related experience.

  shifting priorities in a diverse setting.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct program assessments.
• Experience tracking institutional outcomes related to
  undergraduate student success and retention.
• Experience organizing and conducting workshops and events.
• Ability to clearly interpret and implement policies and
  procedures.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Highest level of professionalism and respect for
  confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
