Hawai`i at Manoa (Honolulu, Hawai’i) invites applicants for the position of Instructor.
This is a non-tenure track, full-time, 9-month, faculty appointment, position number 00 to begin Spring semester 2023, subject to position clearance and availability of funds. Duties:
Teaching undergraduate classes in Physics
Supervise independent study activities and off-campus learning such as practicums and internships
Serve as academic advisor to students
Perform related tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Physics from a college or university of recognized standing, with the major work in the field in which the instructional assignment is made
Evidence of ability to teach effectively and to direct group discussions
Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others
Desirable qualifications include:
Ph.D. in Physics (or closely related discipline),
A proven track record of effective course instruction in lower and upper-division psychology courses at the university level,
Experience successfully teaching large lecture courses with lab sections,
Commitment to undergraduate education,
Experience teaching diverse student populations, and

Salary range:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
