The Role
The School of Business Operations and Strategy, Greenwich Business School at the University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a full time Associate Professor with initial appointment (3 years) managerial position as Associate Head of School – Student Success. The Associate Professor role is the substantive role, therefore after three years the successful appointee will either be renewed for a further three years or become a full-time, permanent Associate Professor. We would like to receive applications from authentic and inclusive leaders with a research/subject specialism in Business Operations, Strategy, Business Management, or International Business.
Reporting to the Head of the School of Business Operations and Strategy, you will support the head to develop and deliver on the School’s strategic priorities in Student Success. You will provide strong academic leadership and vision driven by a commitment to Teaching and Student Experience, Research and Knowledge Exchange.
As a member of the School’s management team, you will support the development, deployment and delivery of the Faculty’s/School’s strategy and business plan. You will act as an advocate for change, setting and meeting targets, adapting to challenges and influencing staff in the School to deliver its strategic priorities.
The post holder is expected to have, and maintain, strong stakeholder relationships, a proven track record of discipline-related pedagogical expertise and to provide leadership and to set standards of excellence. The successful candidate must also hold a PhD or equivalent professional practice in a relevant discipline.
The role of Associate Head of School Student Success is for 50% FTE and for an initial period of three years. The role holder’s period of office may be extended beyond this initial three-year period subject to outstanding performance and review.
