Graduate Business Partnership
The Education and Student Experience (ESE) Directorate within the University of Exeter are looking for two Education Support Assistants to join their team. You will play a vital part in providing high quality service to students, maintaining accurate records and supporting various activities that underpin the student experience. You will further develop your skills in problem-solving and communication, and gain experience in delivering high standards of service to enhance the student journey. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and is offered for a 22-month period. The role will be carried out remotely with a requirement to attend the office on Streatham Campus, Exeter, at regular intervals.

Duties and responsibilities acting as a first point of contact for enquiries, responding to, triaging, or resolving enquiries appropriately, providing administrative support service for Student Services, processing and inputting data and maintaining accurate records, and gather information and extract reports in standard formats. The appointee will maintain and enhance the student experience across the student lifecycle, assist with the organisation of events including the logistical arrangements for meetings and events, ensure processes, procedures and codes of practice are adhered to, and maintain a central information point for Student Services; collating and updating relevant information through a variety of media, including website maintenance where required. The appointee will also maintain a working knowledge of Student Services, particularly in relation to processes and systems, being able to signpost these to others and provide support to staff and students as required, service meetings and committees by providing agendas, minutes, papers, as well as managing logistical arrangements, and have accountability/responsibility for discrete areas of work.
We are looking for a recent graduate with excellent organisational, planning and IT skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure, to communicate effectively with precision and accuracy in person, in writing and email, and by telephone with a diverse range of people, and have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Applicants should have fast and accurate database inputting skills and experience of maintaining and using a database for retrieval of information, the ability or understanding of confidentiality practices and legal requirements under Data Protection, and the ability to be to be flexible and deal with frequent interruptions whilst maintaining focus and accuracy. Applicants should also have the ability to be flexible and adaptive to changes in task allocation and areas of responsibility, confidence and ability to work independently with appropriate supervision, and the ability to always present a professional image of the University of Exeter. We are also looking for a candidate with relevant administrative experience and of multiple objectives and high service standards.
