University of Dundee Hiring for Lecturer in Accounting & Finance Job at Dundee, Scotland Full Time

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to enhance excellence in financial and/or management accounting within the School of Business. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing collaborations within the Accounting and Finance discipline and cross-disciplinary links with other disciplines in the School of Business and the wider university. The candidate will participate in the design of modules; they will be expected to take an active role in the teaching of our successful BAcc programme as well as support our taught postgraduate courses in professional accounting. In addition to teaching and administrative duties (including student recruitment) the successful candidate should have a clearly articulated research and/or scholarship plan. Pursuit of external funding to support their research/scholarship and regularly publishing academic journals are essential. Engagement with professional accountancy bodies would also be desirable.

Essential:

• PhD in accounting (or a related field) or a professional qualification in accounting
• Experience of teaching at University (or equivalent) level
• A developing /scholarly profile and the ability to produce outputs in academic journals
• Clear evidence of /scholarship objectives and the ability to conduct individual or collaborative research projects
• Clear evidence of learning and teaching competence
• Teaching experience relating to different areas of accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Evidence of ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others;
• Ability to prioritise and balance competing demands
• Contribute to the design, development and delivery of teaching programmes at various levels;
• Experience of marking, assessing coursework and examinations and providing feedback to students;
• Ability to engage and travel in occasional overseas recruitment activities.
