English for International Students is located within the Directorate of Student Services at the university. We are a dynamic, pro-active British Council-accredited language centre that delivers a range of in-sessional and pre-sessional programmes as well as developing TNE programmes to deliver in China.
Principal duties will include working as part of a teaching team delivering EAP modules to undergraduate international students on a joint Biomedical Engineering degree. You will be required to show an understanding of a discoursal approach to teaching English for general and specific academic purposes. You will be expected to prepare lessons, maintain teaching records, assess students’ work, provide feedback to students, and participate in cultural and educational events, induction events and in assessment and team meetings.

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as an Online EAP tutor within our Unit, to teach EAP. This is a fixed-term appointment for 14 weeks
Competent user of online platforms e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Blackboard.
