University of Dundee Hiring for Business Finance Support Officer Job at Dundee, Scotland Full Time

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Business Finance Support Officer within the Finance Business Partnering Team, to support the team in the delivery of professional financial administration to the School of Life Sciences. This is a permanent part-time role (21.75 hours per week) and there is some flexibility on the pattern of working hours.

This role will include journal preparation and processing, liaising with budget holders on budgets and forecasts and dealing with enquiries from staff in the School and from the wider University.

This role would suit an ambitious individual looking for a challenging role in a complex financial environment.

• Journal Processing ensuring deadlines are met
• Liaising with budget holders to enable the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Dealing with enquiries and coding queries
• Supporting continuous improvement across the operational business
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations ensuring anomalies are investigated.

• Minimum of HNC in Accounting or equivalent
• Experience of Management Accounting
• Relevant IT skills with experience in the provision of management information
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial information
• Ability to define priorities and work flexibly and effectively under pressure
