CONTEXT OF THE JOB :
Under the general direction of the Senior Director for Digital Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager leads the overall strategy across an array of digital distribution platforms, including but not limited to websites, social media, e-mail newsletters, mobile apps, and blogs.
This role involves extensive coordination with content creators within and outside of OCM, such as UDaily, UD Magazine, Research staff as well as communications professionals at the college and unit level.
The Digital Marketing Manager leads the day-to-day management of the University of Delaware’s external-facing web presence, including the oversight of UD’s homepage, and campaign specific microsites and landing pages.
The Digital Marketing Manager liaises with units and colleges across campus to advise and ensure that digital marketing campaigns and messages targeted to key University audiences are strategically distributed on the optimal platform that aligns with stakeholders and goals to best position University messaging.
The Digital Marketing Manager also contributes to the strategic direction of the Digital Team by assessing needs and making relevant, original, and impactful recommendations while keeping team projects and deliverables on task through project-management best practices.
The Digital Marketing Manager works to align content delivery and platform across the organization to maximize reach and conversions, working closely with web, social media, and creative staff in creating comprehensive campaigns and ensuring organic and paid content is properly created, optimized, monitored, and analyzed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
Execute the distribution of content on various channels – including creating new content and repurposing already existing content while maintaining brand and style standards.
Define, document, and maintain best practices.
Onboard and recruit units into Adobe Experience Manager, helping guide teams through content mapping, creation, and distribution.
Create training materials and workshops.
