Context of Job:
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President (AVP),
the Administrative Specialist provides proactive support for the
AVP and the AVP’s team which is part of the University’s
Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) office. This team drives the
increase in philanthropic revenue to support the University’s
mission.
The Administrative Specialist will make independent judgments and
assessments of the AVP’s needs and take initiative on behalf of the
AVP. The Administrative Specialist independently manages school-
and unit-based projects; creates reports measuring gift officer
activity, donor support, participation, and engagement; corresponds
with internal and external constituents, including colleagues,
donors, prospective donors, administrators, faculty, and students;
creates systems and processes; and provides thoughtful analysis to
ensure efficient and accurate reporting and work practices. The
person in this role also supports other units in DAR as
needed.
