We are seeking a motivated group of individuals to complete a 6-week Apprentice Program within our Revenue Services department. This is a 100% remote program and all necessary equipment will be provided to participants for use through the duration of the 6-week session.
Preference will be given to individuals residing in Colorado, but out of state applicants will also be considered.
The 6-week session is scheduled to start on Monday, August 21, 2023 and will run through Friday, September 29, 2023.
Over the course of 6 weeks, the selected participants will gain exposure to all facets of CU Medicine’s Revenue Services departments though training sessions and work activities/tasks.
Program Structure:
The goal of the Apprentice program is to expose potentially qualified individuals to the CU Medicine environment, provide hands-on learning experiences and ultimately identify individuals for future opportunities within the organization.

The ideal candidates will have completed a formal Medical Billing & Coding program in recent years and/or have familiarity working in a medical billing office or clinic setting. Pursuit of a business degree combined with a demonstrated interest in health care administration will also be considered. Must display professional verbal and written communication skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is well organized and understands the importance of dependability and punctuality. Must demonstrate discretion in handling confidential information. Requires the ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines and established production metrics. Excellent interpersonal skills are imperative to success.

The listed pay range (or hiring rate) represents CU Medicine’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting and is based on evaluation of competitive market data.
