We are entering into an exciting period of transformation, which will culminate in the launch and implementation of a new People Strategy, alongside the implementation of the HR Transformation Programme (HRTP), which aims to simplify and harmonise our people processes.
The Role
Reporting to the Recruitment Adviser (Senior Professional Appointments), and as a member of the Resourcing team, the Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for co-ordinatng the recruitment service for senior professional services staff at the University (typically Grade 12 Directors or Heads of Section). As the main point of contact for senior professional recruitment, you will support managers and other relevant colleagues through all aspects of the recruitment lifecycle, providing advice and administrative support to deliver seamless recruitment campaigns. As the service evolves, you will support the transition to a more active model of candidate attraction, increasing our use of direct sourcing and building candidate pipelines for current and future roles. Another key deliverable of this role will be support the identification, development and implementation of initiatives that will develop, monitor and improve the candidate experience across the academic University. This provides an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their recruitment experience into process development and enhancement, contributing to other HR and EDI projects related to recruitment, and attending recruitment events.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will join us with:
Administrative experience, preferably gained in an HR environment.
Experience of handling HR and recruitment queries and advising management on staffing matters, including recruitment and employee relations.
Evidence of strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to successfully present information through a variety of communication methods and tools.
The ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
Ability to analyse problems at an operational level, identify root causes and propose appropriate solutions.
A flexible approach, with the ability to plan their workload over the short to medium term, contributing to the Resourcing team and to wider project work as required.
