Our digital infrastructure and services sit at the heart of our world-leading education and research. The Library Systems Team is the provider of several major University-wide IT systems for staff, students, alumni and collaborators of the University.

As the role holder your primary focus is to manage and enhance the range of systems and digital services that support library services and activities. As part of the Digital Services team, you are responsible for operational management and leading a team to deliver and support library infrastructure and customer-focused services.

You will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance, integration, and management of a range of library systems across multiple platforms. As a Library Systems specialist, you are expected to take full responsibility for overseeing the support, management, and development of all library systems that provide and facilitate access to physical and electronic collections.

You will be expected to work with relevant stakeholders; to identify opportunities for exploiting emerging technologies; to enhance access to resources and discovery services and to improve internal services and processes. The services you support are integral for core activities such as learning, teaching and research, and for managing the systems for inventory control and cataloguing for over 9 million items.
