University of Cambridge Hiring for HR Assistant Job at Cambridge, East of England, England Full Time

Applications are invited for the position of HR Assistant at the Faculty of Education.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the role holder will be responsible for providing first line HR support for the daily HR operations within the Faculty.

This is an exciting role and opportunity for someone seeking broader generalist HR development and experience within the HR remit. Acting as a first point of contact for daily HR requests, it is an interesting and varied position with the opportunity to also assist with the administration and development of new HR projects.

The successful candidate will be educated to A-level standard or have an equivalent level of practical experience. Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines are essential, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy whilst dealing with confidential information. The role holder will be able to work both independently and in a team, use own initiative, and have a proactive can-do attitude, with demonstrable knowledge of HR best practice. Experience of working in a Higher Education environment, knowledge of basic employment law and using HR database systems would be advantageous.
