We have an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the small team responsible for the successful implementation of the Casual Workforce Project and Academic (Teaching & Scholarship) Career Pathway Project, both of which have been identified as key strategic priorities for the HR Division.
Reporting to the HR Strategic Lead ¿ Workforce Planning, your main responsibilities will include:
Providing specialist support and advice to departments undertaking reviews of their workforce under the Casual Workforce Project.
Develop strategies and plans to ensure effective communication across the University to all stakeholders.
Input into project planning and risk management to deliver organisational objectives.
Devise and implement a plan to launch the new Workforce Policy and associated documents using appropriate tools and communication methods.
Build and develop strong working partnerships with managers, colleagues, specialists and other key stakeholders to deliver requirements and mitigate risk.
Actively participate in the broader work of the HR Policy and Strategic Projects Team by providing advice, working cooperatively on team projects and focusing on team objectives.
What you will need:
Substantial experience in either an HR generalist or specialist role, including operational exposure to application of employment law, employment status, case management and organisational change management;
Exceptional standard of written and spoken English, with experience of writing policy, reports and web material to a high standard for publication;
Experience of implementing project planning and management methodology,
Ability to deliver outputs to quality and on time, working autonomously and through others
Well-developed influencing skills;
A proactive approach to work and ability to effectively plan own work;
Ability to consistently deliver to time and quality, despite tight timescales and conflicting priorities;
Membership of the CIPD or equivalent level experience in a generalist HR role.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2022 in the first instance.
